The All-New 2017 Chrysler Pacifica - Turning Heads Everywhere it Goes
Minivan fans were disappointed when Chrysler announced they were discontinuing their venerable minivan the Town and Country. But, Chrysler has made up for any disappointment with the fabulous new 2017 Chrysler Pacifica they've put in its place.
Here at Corwin Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram we can hardly contain our excitement over the 2017 Chrysler Pacifica. Just don't confuse this all-new Pacifica with the one Chrysler had in their line-up in the early 2000's. These two cars have the same name, but that's where the similarities end.
The Re-Birth of a Car named Pacifica
The latest incarnation of the Chrysler Pacifica comes in the form of a beautiful minivan that's getting a lot of attention and monopolizing a ton of great awards. So far, the new Pacifica has been named the Kelley Blue Book "Best Buy" of 2017 and the Consumers Digest "Best Buy Minivan" for 2017, and a Top 12 Best Car for Families by Kelley Blue Book.
Basically, the 2017 Chrysler Pacifica is the minivan that is reinventing the minivan genre. It's available in five trim levels:
- The Limited
- The Touring
- The Touring L
- The Touring L Plus
- The LX
Plus, there's a hybrid version for drivers who want better fuel economy. All of the models come with great standard features and room for eight people. There are also many other great options you can add onto the Pacifica, including:
- Unconnect Theater with Blu-Ray player
- Heated seats (front seats and back seats)
- Parking assistance system
A familiar feature that Town and Country fans will recognize is the "Stow N Go" captain seats in the second row. This holdover from the Town and Country days features large compartments for storage under the second row seats, which transform into a place to fold up and hide the seats when you need the inside of the van to accommodate more cargo.
However, while people familiar with the Town and Country may recognize the second row, it also has a new addition that the former design didn't have: a removable middle seat to add extra passenger space.
Of course, families who are searching for a new minivan don't just want the latest tech gadgets and fancy features. They want to make sure their families are safe when they're out on the road.
Which is good news for the 2017 Chrysler Pacifica because it has received the highest score possible in its safety tests. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety has given the Pacifica a grade of "good", which is the highest grade it awards in all crash tests. Also, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has awarded a five-star rating, its highest ranking possible.
